Abstract
The subcontract manufacturing (SCM) test business is a dynamic business, subject to constant change influenced by a variety of different forces. It has become increasingly important to examine these forces in order to fully understand how the business is evolving, and also to fully comprehend the current constraints facing the industry. This paper examines the evolution of the SCM test business and evaluates the current SCM test industry business model, proposing several improvements that could benefit both manufacturer and customer alike
