Abstract
Now there are lots kinds of electric consumer products or intelligent systems which are developed based on embedded technology. Under such circumstance, Japanese companies have been forced to cultivate human resources capable of implementation of embedded technology. According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry´s investigation report 2006, Japanese Industry have faced serious lack of embedded engineers, the number of lack of engineers is almost a hundred thousand. Therefore, education of embedded technology engineers is one of urgent for Japanese technical colleges for the future. To perform the mission, each college have to design their educational curriculum appropriately. This paper describes a curriculum design to develop embedded technology engineers of college in Japan. The feature of this curriculum is line-tracer oriented. Students gradually get used to embedded technology with developing line-tracers.
