  • Abstract
    In this paper, a intelligent charging system for VRLA battery is presented, we proposed the charging method which is the combination of three-section charging method with pulse charging method on the base of the analysis and summary of existing VRLA battery charging mode, this charging method effectively alleviate the polarization of VRLA batteries. A high-frequency switching power source with PFC function is used as charging power supply. MC56F8013 is the core of charging system, achieving data sampling, pulse-generating, man-machine interface functions, and eventually realizing the intelligent charge of VRLA batteries.
