  • Abstract
    VoIP and WiMAX are promising technologies. Railway freight dispatching needs an efficient dispatching telephone system. VoIP and WiMAX can provide various service and low cost for railway freight dispatching telephone system. This paper has analyzed the requirements for VoIP over WiMAX, proposed VoIP architecture for railway freight dispatching telephone system, deployed a testbed on a 20km railway freight line, and implemented performance analysis of VoIP-based railway freight dispatching telephone system.
