Abstract
When ship targets are imaged by airborne radar, both the motion of radar and the complex motion of targets are involved, which brings great difficulties to imaging process. This paper establishes the range-Doppler (RD) model for SAR-ISAR ship imaging on the condition that the range is very far and the time is short. Then the analysis of ship image when the target experiences rolling, pitching and yawing. The FFT method is replaced by time-frequency analysis to obtain the target image in range-Doppler domain. Several time-frequency methods including WVD, CWD and SPWVD are studied. The simulation proves the accuracy of RD model and the advantages of time-frequency analysis.
