Abstract
This paper aimed to investigate and report the result of the needs assessment survey for workplace eLearning in the selected Coal Mining Corporation. The paper was organized into four main which were: (1) the Statements of Problems, (2) Research Methodology, (3) Findings and Discussion, and (4) Recommendation and Conclusion. The popular was the selected Mining Corporation which has one office in Java, and five sites in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The population was 937 employees; the samples were derived using a cluster random technique. There were 274 participants responded. The result of the questionnaire revealed the information to support and benefit the demand of workplace eLearning system which could be concluded that eLearning would: (1) reduce traveling time and costs, (2) be supplemented with meaningful, memorable and motivational (3 Ms), in context, challenge, activity and feedback which are called Fabulous Four, (3) increase organizational performance, (4) be prepared to enhance internet accessibility and computers capability.
