Abstract :
The authors discuss the role of visualization tools like Mathcad, Matlab, and Maple education. These software tools are seen narrowly as additions to the spectrum of problem solving utilities available to students. The authors view Maple as a tool that, while allowing students to move away from the continual tedium of algebraic manipulations, is still faithful to the traditional methodologies. They see multimedia as another "level of dimension" in the educational environment
