Abstract
E-learning has been adopted in English teaching. Besides its advantages e-learning has its´ disadvantages. The learners have some difficulties in setting learning goals, choosing learning strategies, monitoring their learning processes, and evaluating the learning results. And some students lose course under the internet environment. To solve these problems the research has applied metacognitive strategies into the e-learning model. Metacognitive strategies help learners to center their learning, manage their learning process and evaluate the learning results. With the metacognitive strategies the learners become conscious of their learning, choose suitable learning strategies, manage the learning process and evaluate the learning results. And they finally find their direction of their learning. Finally learners learn to control their learning process, and get a satisfactory result in their language learning.
