Abstract :
Based on metal oxide gas sensor an odor source localization system is developed in this paper. the sampling system and auxiliary circuit are designed simultaneously. The odor source localization system is tested to locate the unstable point odor source in 360° for advection. According to the features of unstable odor source, the correlation coefficient is selected as characteristic quantity. The relationship between correlation coefficients and system deflection angle α is discussed in this paper. The experimental results prove that the correlation coefficients curves are relatively similar for α and -α. Characteristics of correlation coefficients are distinct different when the system deflection angle shifts 30-degree.
