Abstract :
The author suggests that, in engineering problem formulation for mathematics courses, the prime focus should be good engineering problems from which one can extract the opportunity to learn relevant mathematics and useful engineering skills. A series of guidelines on how to formulate engineering problems suitable for mathematics courses is formulated
