  • Abstract
The magnetoimpedance (MI) properties of the elements with a rectangle and an ellipsoidal shape have been investigated. The larger impedance jump and sharper discontinuous profile were observed in the ellipsoidal element, which is attributed to the suppression of distribution of the demagnetizing field. We also confirmed that the switching of all domain structures reflects on the abrupt impedance jumps. Our results indicate that a realization of a miniaturized novel magnetic field sensor for detection of a threshold field.
