Abstract :
This paper presents a GA (genetic algorithm) combined with GT (group technology) approach to job shop scheduling problems, that is, organizing jobs into groups using GT, solving group scheduling by GA, due to the similarities, jobs within a group being treated as flow shop mode. Tactics of GA in real time application are explored latterly. Experimentation are given in both sections
