Abstract
Power control in mobile communication systems is modeled as a state estimation problem with communication constraints. The problem is solved by using the recursive 1-bit mean coder-estimator sequence. By evaluating the fade margin as is commonly done in radio system engineering, simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the simple update one currently in use
