Abstract :
Two types of waveguide components analyzed with respect to their spurious and out-of-band response. Affecting stop band performance, inter-channel isolation and other specifications, spurious and out-of-band response is studied for several types of structures using multimode building block models based on the mode matching technique (MMT) and generalized S-matrix formulation. Comprehensive full-wave modelling was conducted in each case, critical effects studied and theoretical results compared to actually measured performance
