Abstract
Fractional order controller for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed control system is proposed in this paper. The detailed systematic controller design procedures are discussed. Simulation and experimental results including transient responses, load disturbance responses, and tracking responses of sinusoidal-wave and triangular-wave commands are discussed and compared. The simulation and experimental results validate the theoretical analysis.
