Abstract
In this paper, the effect of the height of the base station antenna and the ratio of indoor to outdoor mobile stations on the reverse link capacity for a CDMA Manhattan like microcellular system is evaluated. The analytical expressions for the relative other-cell interference factor as a function of the height of base station and the ratio of indoor to outdoor mobile stations is also obtained. It is shown that the capacity decreases when the height of the base station´s antenna increases. Furthermore, the capacity is the increasing function of the ratio of indoor to outdoor mobile stations when the antenna of the base station is low and the decreasing function of the ratio when the antenna is high. The paper will contribute to the design of CDMA systems.
