Abstract
The intelligent network architecture is supposed to be the base architecture for future telecommunication networks. It allows fast introduction of new services by use of advanced service creation and service maintenance facilities. The overall management aspects of services play an increasingly important role. Hence more efforts are needed to combine IN and TMN architectures to provide a real open distributed processing environment. The author presents the realization of IN concepts, as defined by CCITT and ETSI standards, in the environment of the AXE 10 switching system. The author then concentrates on service management in the context of customer administration
