Abstract
Considers a finite pole assignment problem for nonlinear systems with time delays in state variables. Extensions of the Lie derivative and the Lie bracket are introduced to differential-difference control systems which make it possible to derive a coordinates transformation and a state feedback law to transform them into finite dimensional linear systems. Then controllers are designed by a finite pole assignment procedure. Effectiveness of the method is tested by illustrative simulations
