Abstract
An inventory is made of mobility support requirements as imposed upon intelligent networks by cordless and cellular systems and the universal personal telecommunications service. These requirements will be classified into two groups: terminal mobility support and personal mobility support. The similarity between ways of supporting these mobility types will be shown by means of the IN functional architecture. The author aims to interrelate and align research now being performed separately in the field of terminal mobility and personal mobility
