Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel digital hardware control of motor drive system implemented in FPGA (field programmable gate array) not only a current control loop but also a speed control loop. In addition, to decrease a torque ripple caused by a PWM switching, linear servo amplifiers are employed for the driving source. As the results of using hard ware control, high precision speed control system of PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor) with 5 ¿s control period is achieved.
