Abstract :
This paper has studied the pavement materials and types, rainwater collection system, wetland landscape, irrigation method and reclaimed water utilization etc for gardens in Tianjin City with the concept of water saving based on the investigations on water saving measures for urban landscape gardens both at home and abroad. In consideration of the information from the related organizations including Tianjin Garden Administration Services, it has also made field investigation on the kinds of common plants as well as their drought and flood tolerance and the various typical green lands in Tianjin City. Finally, it identifies the shortcomings in water saving, and rainwater regulation & storage with respect to garden construction in Tianjin City. This study has carried out simulation test analysis about soil structure, type, permeability and water-bearing capacity for the landscape green lands in Tianjin City at first, and taken rainwater samples and performed analysis, then, proposed technical measures suitable for water saving in rainwater regulation (collection) storage for the green lands and squares in Tianjin City, and performed practical application: technical innovation and application of new-type concave green land design, new-type artificial wetland system design and new-type square rainwater regulation (collection) storage system design etc. Application of these water saving technology for garden rainwater regulation (collection) storage systems contributes to sustainable development of the urban landscape environment.
