Abstract
Single-sensor imaging pipelines comprised of various image compression and demosaicking solutions are presented. Since the end-user usually inspects captured images available in the decompressed/demosaicked format, three basic configurations which perform compression in the demosaicked domain or the full-color filter array domain are tested and evaluated in terms of visual quality of the final decoded full-color image. Performance comparisons are provided with respect to the order of the processing steps and the choice of the coding and demosaicking solutions and compression ratios
