Abstract :
The study of different linear stepping motor designs with pure variable reluctance and comparative analysis of their performances, have allowed the multi stack tubular structure with variable reluctance to be retained. The significant goals of this paper are attributed to the applicative interest of this machine as well as determination of the model of the realized linear stepping motor. The proposed model includes an electrical component that constitutes the fast mode, and a mechanical component that describes the slow mode. The mechanical model, which is a non-linear second order system, has been retained for identification of the motor´s parameters. The comparison between experimental and simulated dynamic behaviors of the rotor position has resulted in acceptable agreement.
