Abstract :
A high-voltage microfluidic controller designed using DALSA Semiconductor´s 0.8-mum 5V/HV CMOS/DMOS process is presented. The chip has four high voltage outputs and is capable of operating up to 300 V. This IC serves as an advancement in microfluidic technology when used in conjunction with a CCD based optical system and a glass microfluidic channel enabling a portable, cost efficient and reliable platform for genetic analysis.
