Abstract :
A beamformer suitable for mitigating multi-access interference in code division multiple access (CDMA) system is addressed. It can be proved that the algorithm is an optimal solution in the sense of minimum variance when interference number approaches to infinite. In comparison with Capon´s, the algorithm has the advantage of lower computation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm approximates to Capon´s minimum variance beamformer when the user number is more than the number of array elements and its performance is superior to that of the conventional data-independent methods
