Abstract :
Characteristics such as nonlinearity, uncertainty, and time-delays make the control of systems that transition from one operating regime to another a very challenging one. One means of addressing this problem is to develop a robust transition control system that is capable of selecting the best controller from a library of possible controllers to put into feedback with the process. This paper presents such a system and a transition theorem from which the dynamic performance of the process can be analyzed
