Abstract
We show how conventional call admission needs to be modified in CDMA networks to accommodate mobility accurately. We evaluate the impact of mobility on several important system performance and design parameters of CDMA networks. This includes (1) the maximum system capacity (2) the best call admission control thresholds, and (3) the tradeoff between the new call blocking probability and call dropping probability.
