Abstract
Considers identification of cross-directional (CD) response of a papermaking process from the input-output experimental data. In particular, the paper is devoted to identification of the mapping between the CD actuators and the scanned profiles of the paper properties. The developed algorithms allow us to achieve reliable identification of alignment and nonlinear shrinkage. The presentation is supported by paper mill data identification results
