Abstract
Some properties of the transition processes in a SISO system incorporating an observer are discussed. The symmetry of the transition matrix with respect to the eigenvalues assigned for controller and observer is proved using state space methods. The interrelation with the peaking phenomenon is discussed and asymptotic behavior of the system for the case of fast observer dynamics is analyzed. Some illustrative examples are presented
