  • Abstract
    This paper attempts to develop evaluation index of competitiveness in auto industry by incorporating the value chain analysis. Data were collected through the administration of a formal questionnaire. The factors included in the evaluation model of competitiveness were identified through a comprehensive literature review. The total sample consists of 65 respondents. Descriptive statistics and Kruskal Wallis one-way ANOVA were used in analyzing data. Through the data analysis, the key factors that should be focused in auto industry competitiveness are gotten. They are domestic market demand, auto industry policy, R&D investments, country´s own technology parts, quality of production, distribution channel productivity, and after sales services. At the end of the paper, managerial decision and policy implications are given.
