Abstract :
We report on intensity based in-line Mach-Zehnder interferometric bend sensor using twin core photonic crystal fiber (PCF). A novel bending sensor is performed with bend induced spatial fringe shift. High air filling fraction of twin core photonic crystal fiber cladding provides immunity to bend-induced intensity fluctuation.
