  • Abstract
The multi-machines system is intensively used in several industrial applications. When a fault occurred in one machine, it is very difficult to identify which one is affected by the fault. Therefore, this paper presents an efficient method to locate the faulty machine in dual induction motors supplied by a single inverter. The treated system is composed by two induction motors fed by a PWM voltage source inverter. Through the simulation of the behavior of the proposed system using an adequate model taking into account the stator fault, analyses are carried out in order to extract the motor variable which significantly represents the fault and in the same time permit to correctly discern between the healthy and the faulty motor. The good simulated results presented in this paper prove the efficiency of the proposed method.
