Abstract
The six-port phase correlator is composed of three 90deg hybrid couplers and a Wilkinsion power divider. In this paper, various six-port phase correlators with Wilkinsion power divider, 90deg hybrid coupler and/or 180deg rat-race ring coupler were designed and simulated at the center frequency of 2.5 GHz. The simulation results show that the six-port correlator structure with one 90deg hybrid coupler, two power dividers and one 180deg rat-race ring coupler gets wider bandwidth among the three six-port phase correlators in this paper. The six-port correlator with three 90deg hybrid couplers and one 180deg rat-race ring coupler has good gain flatness. Besides the conventional structure has smaller phase error. Various six-port phase correlators individually have relative importance in view point of application.
