Abstract
Bifurcation and chaos in a current-mode controlled Cuk converter are studied. Synchronous sampling is used to model a discrete-time map. The procedure from periodic repetition to chaos is shown with the map. The bifurcation and chaotic character are studied both in theoretical analysis and in simulation of an actual circuit. There are some differences between the results of ideal conditions and that of computer simulations using PSpice, which mainly comes from the delay of the switching system.
