Abstract
Assuring continuity operating of induction machine drives is crucial in the most of applications. Thanks to the number of their output voltages, and the extra degrees of freedom they offer, multilevel inverters have been adopted in many applications. In this paper, a new fault tolerant SVM strategy for induction machine drives based on a 3 level NPC inverter is proposed. It insures a continuous operation of the drive after the breakdown of an inverter power switch. Simulation results prove the good performances of the proposed strategy for the machine performances.
