  • Abstract
Parallel independent streams of data are communicated through a MIMO channel, with the data-rates being possibly different and each data stream having a BER constraint. Successive-cancellation demodulation/decoding is used and the ZF constraint, i.e., Tx-channel-Rx cascade is upper triangular, is imposed. An algorithm is derived for finding the Tx-Rx pair that requires the minimum Tx power to achieve the BER constraints. Simulation results showing the power savings due to this optimum design are given
