Abstract
Applying the principle of anthropomorphic intelligence, a novel intelligent PID controller for time-varying and quick response systems is proposed and its structure and control rules are discussed in detail. Compared with the conventional controller, the intelligent PID controller has good robustness and adaptability. Because its parameter tuning and control strategy switching are based on control deviation, it can be implemented easily. Simulation studies and field tests indicate that the anthropomorphic intelligent PID control can improve the dynamic performance and stability of hydro-turbine governing systems.
