Abstract :
This paper contributes to the automatic indoor wireless LAN planning and optimization, analyzing results obtained by means of simulation of several existing algorithms, to determine their applicability and performance in a real scenario. The comparison of the various algorithms is performed according to typical design parameters and figures of merit used in common WLAN deployments. The results presented cover both the network performance results as consequence of the best placement obtained, and the total computation time required.
