Abstract :
In this paper, the feedback stabilization problem of planar switched linear systems with two subsystems under arbitrary switching is investigated. An easily checkable sufficient and necessary condition for quadratic stabilization is derived using the geometric approach. For systems which cannot be quadratically stabilized, a sufficient condition for asymptotical stabilization is also given.
