  • Abstract
    The paper studies the approaches of intelligent control for ship autopilot. We apply the fuzzy control and artificial neural networks to autopilot design. For the design study, the autopilot controllers designed have been carried out in the MATILAB/Simulink environment. This paper also analyzes the performance of ship steering control system at various operating condition. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the intelligent control approaches for ship autopilot design are valuable.
