Abstract :
Log periodic antenna (LPA) has been designed using rectangular microstrip patches with inset feed using five elements. The antenna elements and feeding networks is designed using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Environment software. The manipulative variable is the spacing between the patches. The simulated and measured results are compared and it is observed that the value of return loss, VSWR and gain of the LPA improved when the value of spacing between patches, d is decreased.
