Title :
Spiral coil loaded short wire antenna

Abstract :
A spiral coil loaded short wire antenna, which can be used in AMR transmitters, receivers or any other eligible wireless system, is reported here. The key point of this design is to utilize the maximum current part of the wire to be the main radiating part. The top part of the wire is spiraled to save space and to be the load of the straight wire radiator, meanwhile the load itself is the other part of the antenna. With different feed arrangements, this design can meet various matching environments. The antenna is dually polarized. Its gain is at the same level of a quarter- wavelength monopole without ground plane. It is also easy to manufacture since it has a very simple structure.
