Abstract :
In this paper, electromagnetic vibration of interior permanent magnet (IPM) brushless motors under BLDC and BLAC operation mode is investigated. The electromagnetic field is calculated by 2D finite element analysis (FEA). The radial and tangential force distribution on the stator is also derived, and input to the structure transient finite element model. The corresponding vibration spectrum is predicted. The coupled electromagnetic and structure FEA models have been used to investigate the radial and tangential vibration level and spectrum variation of interior PM brushless motors under both brushless DC and AC operation. It compares with experiment result well.
