  • Abstract
    This paper describes ITCO (injection-tuned coupled-oscillators) that offers cost-effective, power-efficient, integrable, compact, and low cost spectral pure signal source for wireless communication systems. The measured phase noise for 9.2 GHz ITCO is typically -132 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset from the carrier with 18% DC-to-RF conversion efficiency respectively. To our knowledge, this is the best phase noise performance for a given class and DC-to-RF conversion efficiency so far reported.
