Abstract
Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) from a solution of ruthenium (II) tris(2,2´-bipyridyl) Ru(bpy)32+ generated at an interdigitated microelectrode array (IDA) and detected with an on-chip integrated silicon photodiode is reported. This novel approach combines the analytical properties of IDAs with the high sensitivity and selectivity of ECL reactions, together with the convenience in using an integrated photometric device
