Abstract :
The challenges and solutions for designing automated microfluidic systems for the entire series of mixing, reaction and separation of proteins and antibodies integrated directly on a chip are presented. Examples of clinically relevant assays such as analysis of human serum proteins for clinical diagnostics and immunoassay of a therapeutic drug for asthma, theophylline, are reported
