Study on Information Retrieval Model Based on Rough Set Theory

Information retrieval is the science of searching for documents, for information within documents and for metadata about documents, as well as that of searching relational databases and the World Wide Web. Rough set theory is a new data analysis method which can deal with ambiguous and uncertain problems. The data processing technologies which base on rough set theory are being applied in more and more fields. The paper, on the base of comparatively analyzing characteristics and shortages of traditional information retrieval models, proposed an information retrieval model based on rough set theory and analyze the retrieval strategies.
