Abstract :
The German Federal Government has commitment to increase the renewable energy contribution to overall power supplies, and the wind power generator will give major contribution to cover the target. Because of high penetration wind power to the high voltage network, there are several issues what should be found their solution. One of them is the network frequency stability. This paper presents network frequency control strategy supported by wind power generator based on doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) which uses two back-to-back inverters. The simulation procedure and results in Matlab are presented to show the effectiveness of control strategy.
