Abstract

In order to benchmark the performance of the new generation optical routers, we developed an OC-48 traffic generator using the high-speed development kit, stratix GX edition, available from Altera. This paper describes our architecture and its implementation. It also shows the characterization of the 2.488 Gbps small factor pluggable (SFP) and the graphical user interface
