Abstract :
UWB pulse modulation schemes in the modified UWB IEEE channel model are evaluated. Performance of pulse modulation schemes are analyzed in term of SER*, complexities, data rate, maximum transmit power, maximum transfer receiver distance and channel capacity. The information theoretical capacity of the UWB system is studied in different PSD pulse modulation schemes. It is shown, UWB system performances will be improved by combining PPM and PAM modulation schemes
